NEW IPHONE 7 LEAK SHOWS US HOW APPLE IS FIXING ITS UGLY ANTENNAS.

The new iPhone leaks keep on coming with more and more reports revealing details about both the iPhone 7 and the iPhone SE.

After various images already hit the web showing alleged components from the iPhone 7, a new photo seemingly shows the metal back of the handset, further reinforcing the thought that Apple is finally fixing one of the “design flaws” from the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s series.

The two phone generations have ugly plastic antenna lines on the back that break up the otherwise smooth metal surface. However, most iPhone users understand the need for such a compromise. I prefer better wireless reception (including Wi-Fi and LTE) than a perfect design.

Apple can’t completely remove the plastic antenna lines from the upcoming iPhones’ back just yet, but the company will apparently have a better-looking design for them. Rather than featuring dual antennas, each composed of two lines running along the width of the handset, Apple is apparently toying with a single-line antenna design, according to various reports.

Furthermore, it’s not clear whether this is an iPhone 7 or iPhone SE component. It could be either a prototype for iPhone 7 design testing or the final case of the iPhone SE.

If the latter is true, then it’d be interesting to see Apple come out with a slightly changed design for an iPhone model that’s not this year’s flagship handset, even though it’ll be on par with the iPhone 6s when it comes to hardware.

If this part is genuinely though, it’s far more likely that this is an iPhone 7 housing, since the iPhone SE is expected to look more like an iPhone 5 than an iPhone 6.

Obtained by French tech site NowhereElse, the picture features the lower side of the rear shell that supposedly belongs to an iPhone. The person who took the photo did not provide additional images that might show us the top side of the shell where the camera would be placed, or the bottom side of the shell where the 3.5mm headphone jack (or its absence) could be seen.

Whatever the case, this is likely just one of the many iPhone leaks we’ll see until September, when Apple finally unveils the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
